The Missionary Servants of the Poor (also known as “Boccone del Povero”) are a religious congregation born in Sicily, southern Italy, in 1887.
Today we are present in different continents, from Europe to Latin America, from Africa to Asia.
In places of poverty, there you will find us.

What we do

We respond concretely to old and new poverty with attention to the dignity of the weakest and the least, hoping to turn their pupils upside down and be able to enjoy unworthily their gaze.

Blessed James, our founder, made himself “a morsel of the poor”. He spent his life giving himself to the poor. The priest who exercises himself in this office renews what Jesus did, he continues to renew the sacrifice of the altar.
